EUK Presents Employability Award at Ash Green School

Employability Award at Ash Green School

September saw the EmployabilityUK team visiting Ash Green School once again, where our Programme Manager, Krys Nosek, was on hand to present an Employability Award to Jenna Virdee.

Jenna was recognised for her active focus on her own personal development during the Covid-19 pandemic, during which she actively sought out virtual workshops, webinars and discussion groups to boost her skills.

As well as presenting the award, Krys was also on hand to discuss the work of EmployabilityUK and the impact of the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service. She also spoke to an audience of current and former pupils, alongside their parents, about the significance of personal development, aspirations for the future and the value of volunteering.

Speaking shortly after the event, Krys said: “It was wonderful to have been invited to the Prize Giving Ceremony at Ash Green, and a delight to network with the pupils and gain an insight into their plans for their future careers. Naturally, It was a privilege to present the Employability Award on behalf of EmployabilityUK.

The charity has worked with Ash Green School on a number of occasions and looks forward to continuing to do so in the future. A particular recent highlight was the school’s involvement in the first-ever Tech Boss Challenge, developed and deployed through a thriving partnership between Kagool and EmployabilityUK.”
