EUK CEO Visits Morgan in Malvern

EUK Chief Exectuive Di Vernon Visits Morgan

Our CEO attended her first visit after being appointed an MBE in the Birthday Honours List for 2022, taking in the uniquely British surroundings of Morgan Motor Company in Malvern.

Di had the opportunity to see first-hand how Morgan automobiles are hand-built at their factory in Worcestershire and was invited to share in more than 110 years of history attached to the iconic brand.

Morgan is the world’s oldest car manufacturer still operating from its original base, and prioritises quality over quantity, with only 850 vehicles leaving the factory each year – each crafted by hand.

While now thriving on Italian influence and investment, half of Morgan remains owned by the descendants of Henry Frederick Stanley Morgan, who launched the business in 1910.

Crucially, the business continues to put the local community first.

Di commented: “It was amazing to see the craftsmanship that goes into the making of these beautiful cars. It was especially pleasing to see the young apprentices being taught skills they’ll build on and use for many years to come.”

Morgan’s passion for community and opportunity among the local youth population aligns closely with that of EmployabilityUK. The manufacturer attracts talent from across the region to apply the personal touch to the likes of the Super 3, Plus Four and Plus Six models, which remain among the most eye-catching cars on the road today.
